Safety note for all CHARLY rescue parachutes

Check of the reserve handle-container-connection
Due to a problem that has recently come into focus that the reserve handle, especially of harnesses with integrated rescue compartment, can get caught in the lines after deployment and block the opening of the rescue system, we have limited the maximum length of the connection between the reserve handle and the inner container of the rescue system to 37 cm for CHARLY rescue parachutes. The picture shows how to measure the length.

The length of the connection between reserve handle and inner container should be checked by the pilots before the next flight.

KORTEL Kanibal Race 2 Safety note

KORTEL has published an important safety notice for its harness Kanibal Race 2. In conjunction with certain rescue inner containers, the deployment distance of the rescue parachute may be too long.

Important note on the use of the Paralock1

On the occasion of an accident, in which the pilot removed the safety caps shortly before landing and thereby pressed the release button and opened the rotatable lever, we would like to point out the following:
The safety caps must not be removed under any circumstances before landing, except after the rescue parachute has been released and has deployed.
