RADIX - Advanced-Acro-Wing

Flight Characteristics

RADIXThis is a very dynamic wing that performs highly energised manouevres. It is very precise in the turn and has a great tendancy to climb when energised.

It has short brake travel and has little pressure in the brakes when stalled. It enters negatives easily and does big Misty Flips with strong pendulums.

In SAT manouevres it retains pressure in the wingtips. The Rhythmic SAT works well all the way to Infinite. The Infinite is easy to correct and understand and remains in Infinit even with hands high.

It has good performance for cross-country flying and thermals easily with a progressive turn.

RADIX-Overview

RADIXBlue: The wing loading within this weight range is very low but an Intermediate level acro pilot can do almost any type of acrobatic manouevre although the wing reacts quite slowly. The pilot will have a very low sink rate in normal flight and a nice turn in thermic flight.
NEGATIVE Manouevres: (Full Stalls, Tail Slide, Negative Spins,  Helicopters, Misty Flips, Mc Twist) it is possible to perform these manouevres, although the wing has a slow rotation.
DYNAMIC Manouevres: (Wing overs, Wagas, Asymmetrics, Looping) within this weight range the wing does is not ideally loaded for dynamic manouevres. The pilot will be able to perform dynamic moves but it is not easy to keep up the energy necessary for looping and there is a possibility of collapses and slack lines.
SAT Manouevres: (SAT, Asymmetric SAT, Tumbling, Infinit, Rhythmic SAT) the SAT and Asymmetric SAT work well within this weight range. The wing is stable and maintains pressure. Tumbling and Rhythmic SAT will only just work and will have a tendancy to collapse if the wing passes vertically underneath the pilot. Infinit is not reccommended and will only work for one or two rotations.

Green: In this weight range the pilot will find the wing nicely energised but still not sufficient to perform high-level manouevres. Here an Intermediate level acro pilot will feel comfortable enough to progress further in almost any  manouevre. The wing reacts in a lively manner and there is less reaction time for the pilot.
NEGATIVE Manouevres: these type of manouevres work well with a rotation speed more suited to this type of wing
DYNAMIC Manouevres: with this slightly higher wing loading all dynamic manouevres can be performed but it still lacks
some energy to perform Looping.
SAT Manouevres: more energy and higher pressure in the wing for all of these manouevres but still insufficient for Rhythmic SAT and Infinit.

RADIXYellow: This is the ideal weight range for all types of acro manouevres and the best choice for pilots of intermediate to advanced level. The reactions of the wing are very agile and have absolute precision.
NEGATIVE Manouevres: all negative manouevres are fast and quick to react. The entry into negative and stall is very precise and enters easily at the right moment.
DYNAMIC Manouevres: all types of dynamic manouevres are excellent at this wing loading with highly energised execution and presice handling.
SAT Manouevres: plenty of energy and high pressure in the wing in any SAT position. The Rhythmic SAT and Infinit work perfectly with this wing loading.

Orange: With this weight the reactions of the wing are still very good for all the acro manouevres but it is necessary to be an advanced acro pilot.
NEGATIVE Manouevres: the reactions in this type of manouevre are very quick and the rotations are very fast, giving the pilot little time to react to the wing.
DYNAMIC Manouevres: the movements are very agressive with a tendancy to pitch and dive rapidly, although it still
performs highly energised manouevres with precise handling.
SAT Manouevres: excellent momentum in all SAT manouevres with easy entry and maintaining a high speed of rotation.

Red: From this weight onwards the manouevres become extremely radical requiring absolute pilot control at all times. Any piloting error will result in big collapses and very fast autorotations.
